15 concerts in eight countries in four weeks - from Portugal to Finland, from London to Budapest the Gaúchos met happy faces and sold-out venues. Part of the travelling party were the film makers René Goya und Pablo Chasseraux from Estacao Eletrica, who are preparing a road movie for Brazilian Television as well as a new DVD on Renato Borghetti. For a second time in a row CultureWorks artists have been selected for a Womex showcase: this year Dancas Ocultas, the magical accordion quartet from Portugal, will appear in Copenhagen in front of an audience of world music professionals from all over the world.

Dear Friends,
with shock and sadness we have to inform you that Ljiljana Buttler, our dear friend and musical legend, has died.
Until the very end she fought bravely against the cruel disease that took her from us, too soon, so unexpectedly.
Our consolation is her music - that immortal part of her remains as a lasting legacy to us.
We shall never forget her.
Rest in peace!

This year it has finally worked: Renato Borghetti was selected for a Womex showcase! The world's main trade fair for World Music will happen in Copenhagen/Denmark from October 28th to November 1st, Renato will perform for an international audience of promoters and journalists on October 30th.
ACCORDIONISTS ON TOUR

Three of our favourite accordionists are on tour in May: Renato Borghetti is travelling across Europe (Germany, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, France) and will use the occasion to record a live CD. Riccardo Tesi and his Banditaliana can be heard in Germany, and at the end of the month Martin Lubenov will tour in Austria with his Orkestar. Porgy&Bess in Vienna will host a three days Martin Lubenov Special including the presentation of the documentary "Jazzta Prasta". Watch out here for all live dates!.

"Jazzta Prasta" is the title of a brandnew documentary on the Bulgarian accordion virtuoso's career between Sofia and Vienna. On october 17th Bulgarian accordion virtuoso Martin Lubenov and his MARTIN LUBENOV ORKESTAR are invited to perfom at the Festival Internazionale della Fisarmonica in Castelfidardo, the Italian "accordion Mekka" in the idyllic little town near Ancona.
